The first surgery in Chile assisted by Google Glass is performed.
In Santiago de Chile, the team of maxillofacial surgeons from the www.maxilofacial.com Specialty Center performs the first surgery in Chile with the assistance of the future augmented reality device "Google Glass". The said kit has been rated as the 2014 tech revolution kit in many technology portals and it is speculated that its official launch will be in the first quarter of 2014.
The North American company has worked hard to develop this new equipment and in April 2013 in New York it launched a limited number of units to be used by a group of developers from different companies. On June 21, 2013 in Spain, Dr. Pedro Guillén in Spain performed the first "Glass"-assisted surgery and on November 16, the team of Chilean maxillofacial surgeons used this device when performing maxillofacial orthognathic surgery.
